In an age of machine-made assembly line products, this piece of furniture has been laboriously hand-crafted from ecologically harvested wood, sourced from government auctions only. It has been made using traditional joinery, giving the ensemble greater strength. All the intricate details are hand-carved. The wood is sanded carefully to bring out its inner beauty and the stunning grain structure. Water-based stains are used to stain the wood. The grains in the wood react with the stain to give the furniture a natural look. There is no obliteration or clouding to cover the original grains. Natural organic ingredients such as shellac are dissolved in denatured alcohol and applied to the surface of the wood for the final finish.
